Last week Ben, our Managing Director, returned home from Africa after having successfully completed a 500km charity bike ride on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Here at EC we’re best known for our amazing TV scenery but that’s not all we do - first and foremost we’re a design and engineering business. For the past 25 years clients have been coming to us with their problems (although not in a Dear Deidre way I hasten to add) and we’ve been creating bespoke, engineering solutions to help solve them.

In precisely 64 days, 7 hours and 46 minutes (not that he’s counting), Ben (our MD) will be taking on the biggest physical challenge of his life. In October Ben will be cycling 500 kilometres (that’s 310 miles) across Africa in just 6-days to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Nope, we’re not announcing the return of Jimmy Tarbuck and a well known 80s game show. We are, however, announcing that (…drum roll please…) we are the newly crowned winners of the Small Business of the Year award at the 2016 Oldham Business Awards!
